Detail About This Listing

Systems Thinking and Theory U – developed by Dr. Peter Senge and Dr. Otto Scharmer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, was established based on MIT’s tradition of “leaning from practice” and China’s heritage of introspection, and has been used as a mean of systemic changing and an effective tool in the development of excellent leadership. In the past 30 years, these methods and tools have been verified through practice of mega cross-sector and cross-culture projects. In China, frontier exploration and practice on Systems Thinking and Theory U have been conducted via their variation and innovation such as the IDEAS Program etc. Plans of establishing U School for System Leadership in cooperation with Tsinghua University has also been made to support further research and practice within the field in China, in order to make it a world’s leading country in this specific field.
We are honored to have the distinguished guests including Dr. Peter Senge - founder of Learning Organization, Dr. Otto Scharmer - founder of Theory U, leaderships from Shanghai Municipal government and Tsinghua University, Mr. David Capodilupo - Executive Director at Office of International Programs, MIT Sloan School of Management as well as representatives of IDEAS program participants in the coming THREE Talk event, where topics on how to combine the wisdom and power from different sectors and to overcome the existing ecological, social and cultural divides with joint perception and joint innovation will be extensively discussed.
