CASTING CALL - Actors for Short Film shooting in April

I am a British filmmaker based in Shanghai since late 2010 and I am currently seeking seven actors for a short film which will shoot over three days in late April. Each actor will be required for no more than two half-days of shooting but two rehearsal meetings will be necessary before shooting.

THE LOVEBIRDS' NEST tells the story of three couples searching for their ideal home, each hoping that there is a bright future for their relationship. In the setting of one single apartment it is revealed that the future of their relationships is fraught with more peril, more heartache, more innocent mistakes than any of them would like to admit.

I am seeking mostly foreigners to play three different couples and one local Chinese actor who will connect with each couple. This is an opportunity for talented performers to collaborate on the creation of interesting on-screen relationships and characters tasked with selling the tension and romance of the story. Each role is open to professional and non-professional actors alike but recent experience acting in theatre or on-camera is preferred.

I am specifically seeking candidates for the following roles:
1) a Shanghainese man or woman - aged 50-60. Strong English skills are a must.

2 & 3) The first couple: Male and Female, both foreigners, both in their 20s. Fluency in English is a must.

4 & 5) The second couple: Both male - a gay couple, both in their 30s. Fluency in English is a must.

6 & 7) The third couple: Male and Female, both foreigners. Male in his 40s must be able to demonstrate a strong, soulful singing voice. Female in her late 30s/early 40s. Fluency in English is a must.
