To find out how the daily life of a Chinese High School student looks like and to get a deep understanding of the Chinese education system compared to your own, the Community Service package is the right choice for you.
2 hours drive from Beijing city there is Hengshui city in which the Wuyi School of Hebei Province is located. Because the school isn’t very international the manager decided to set the foundation of an international program to help local students open their mind and meet people from all over the world. People between 16 and 25 are welcome to spend 8 days of valuable time at the high school in order to interact with the Chinese students. While doing different kinds of activities and excursions the students will get the chance to exchange experiences, have a lot of fun and make international friends. There will be cooking classes, art and culture workshops, theater and sport activities, reading club and time for different kinds of discussions in which the students got the chance to get to know each other and open their minds for another culture.
After that time in Hengshui city the students will get a five days cultural tour to the capital city of China. Climbing up the famous Great Wall, discovering the Forbidden City, promenade in the Summer Palace, shopping at the modern Wangfujing Street or some little local markets, have a look where the Olympic Games 2008 took place or be part of a traditional tea ceremony.
