Whereas expats working in Shenzhen will need to acquire both work permit and work-type residence permits. According to our experiences on working visa application, most of expats would like to ask what they should do in their country.
What kind of documents you should make in your country?

The welcome news for expats this year is that no invitation letter required during working visa application.Foreign Affairs Office would not issue the invitation letter from April 1st 2017. You could apply for Z visa through the employment permit notice. If you are in China mainland in this moment, you could choose HongKong for Z visa which based on the agreement between your own country and HongKong.
It should be noted that expats applying for a Chinese visa from somewhere other than their country of origin will have to submit additional documents such as work or residence permits. Fees vary depending on the applicant’s country of origin and where they are applying for their visa.
